This study is focused on a Telelever type front suspension system for a two-wheeled motorcycle. The main target is to reduce the system's weight and maintain its structural rigidity through the redesign of specific components. As a first step the components are designed and assembled using a three-dimensional design software (CAD). Using a dedicated Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software, the loads are applied to the system and the results of stresses and deformations are evaluated by finite element analysis simulation. Based on the results certain parts are redesigned. In this phase of development, alternative designs of the components are evaluated towards an optimal final design that meets the technical requirements set. Finally, a structural analysis of the new system design is conducted and evaluated through simulation on the same loads.
