We present the first in silico simulation of biomarker uptake kinetics and of the associated dynamic optical signals, measured in vivo in neoplastic epithelial tissue. We introduce a new, non-invasive method for estimating and mapping of both structural and functional, neoplasia-correlated parameters. The method relies on model-based fitting of dynamic optical signals, measured in vivo, and on solving the inverse problem with the aid of global sensitivity analysis and global optimization approaches.
