Περίληψη

The hydrogenation of naphthalene over Rh-Re and Ru-Re bimetallic catalysts, formulated on W6+-doped TiO2 carriers, is investigated in a slurry reactor at a temperature of 573 K and a pressure of 65 bar. It is shown that the hydrogen adsorption capacity of both catalysts increases with dopant concentration in the TiO2 matrix, in the range 0–0.7 at.-%. Naphthalene hydrogenation activity is also enhanced as a result of carrier doping, especially of the Ru-Re catalyst. The activity of these catalysts in the hydrogenation of an actual coal-liquid distillate cut is also found to be superior, as compared to corresponding catalysts on undoped carriers or a commercial Co-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst.
