Summary

Beginning with Einstein’s theory of relativity, this master thesis deals with the space-time continuum and its relation with the subject in reference. Time is therefore considered as an additional 4th dimension that is embodied into one’s perception of space. As a result space is no longer static but dynamic and constantly changing. Cinematography was used as the basic research and experimentation tool as it provides unlimited spatio-temporal examples and also deals with the subject in reference, that is, the viewer.
