This thesis deals with the study, investigation and evaluation of the financial statements and performance of major hotel businesses - units in Greece, for the period 2012-2014. First of all, is being a presentation of the statistics on tourism independently the period we are interested in to have a complete percentage analysis between the growth or recession in recent years. Then the financial indices of interest are introduced and used for the financial analysis. Through this financial analysis an evaluation of the hotel business will be carried out in order to collect data regarding their situation, their profitability, their liquidity and their growth margins. For there more, the presentation of the companies that will participate in this analysis with a small description of their activities, their results are listed for the period we are concerned, noting their higher and lower performance. Using the PROMETHEE method where a comparison is made between the companies and finally the overall ranking. This is obtained by using a smaller number of the previously used numerals. Through this ranking, companies that have outlined their performances as positive and negative have emerged. Finally, with the previous data, we come to the conclusion about the overall financial situation of the hotel businesses in Greece, as well as the prospects for their development in the coming years.
