Summary

This thesis is concerned with the 3D design of mobile X Ray Inspection Systems for Electronic equipment and Photovoltaic Solar Panels recycling. Depending on the recycling process two differ-ent Inspection Systems can be selected. The first scans small pieces of electronic devices and PV after being crushed by a hammer mill and according to the constructive components, some of them are Indium, Gallium and Cadmium, it separates the pieces into three categories: a)Dangerous Recyclable b)Not Dangerous Recyclable c)Not Recyclable. The second Inspection System scans the entire panel before being crashed into small pieces, calcu-lating the amounts of the above elements in order to categorize them.
