Quotation marksIn the context of the desolation of Derveni, the creation of a winery comes to overturn this condition and restore the values of the place in question. After experiential and bibliographic research, it was found that the study of the winery is called upon to answer the following questions:• Integration (local-urban)• Society – Economy – Tourism• Culture - Recreation•Architectural Design• Functional Composition and production lineThe building is located in the area of Derveni (20 minutes from Aigio). It is directly accessible from the New Corinth-Patra National Road and the old national road. It was designed as a building of culture and exhibitions, production and storage. It has a coverage area of 515 sq.m. and additional area in attics and basements. The building resulting from the combination of the above is a landmark of the wider area with particular importance, as it combines functions and activities for a wide audience. A landmark located in the footsteps of the Derveni Corinthia railway station and the old railway network, is called upon to lend some of the glamor that the place once knew during the raisin era. IntegrationThe location of the winery is not strictly demarcated, since the area of the abandoned network has long been encroached upon by anarchic and arbitrary construction. For these arbitrary buildings, an integration effort has already been started by the Municipality of Xilokastro Eurostini. The proposed integration design is inspired by the concept of flow. The term "Flow" generally describes any observed continuous movement of matter in space. In this operation, the flow from the rails of the railway network is crystallized, while at the same time the flow of wine and the flow of the population around it are included. Socio-EconomicThe first inhabitants of the area were farmers, with vines and olives as their main occupation. After the olive mill and raisin factories closed, this art was put aside and Derveni developed into a holiday resort. Therefore, the creation of a winery is a shift in the traditional occupation with the vine while at the same time creating a pole of attraction for alternative forms of tourism. Culture - RecreationThe experience of the visit, in addition to the possibility of access to the production areas, is enriched by the wine-local history museum, the specially designed tasting area and the wine bar.
