| Content Summary | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία έχει ως αντικείμενο τη μελέτη του οικισμού της Καρδάμαινας, στην Κω. Σκοπός της είναι η πολεοδομική οργάνωση της περιοχής με στόχο την αναβάθμιση και τη δημιουργία ενός βιώσιμου και λειτουργικού οικισμού, λαμβάνοντας πάντα υπόψιν τις ιδιαιτερότητες και τις ανάγκες της περιοχής. Η εργασία διαρθρώνεται σε τρεις ενότητες. Στην πρώτη εξ αυτών, έπειτα από επιτόπια καταγραφή, γίνεται η ανάλυση του οικισμού, μελετώντας τις υφιστάμενες χρήσεις γης, την κυκλοφορία, τους ελεύθερους δημόσιους χώρους και τους πραγματοποιημένους όρους δόμησης. Στη δεύτερη ενότητα γίνεται η αξιολόγηση της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης, όπως αυτή προέκυψε από την ανάλυση και τους κατοίκους, μέσω ερωτηματολογίων που μοιράστηκαν δια ζώσης και ηλεκτρονικά. Στην τρίτη ενότητα περιγράφονται οι προτεινόμενες διορθωτικές επεμβάσεις του πολεοδομικού ιστού που κρίθηκαν απαραίτητες στους τέσσερις προαναφερθέντες τομείς, μετά την αξιολόγηση της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης, ενώ παράλληλα προτείνεται και ένα τμήμα επέκτασης, ακολουθώντας τις ίδιες σχεδιαστικές αρχές. | el |
| Content Summary | The present thesis is the study of the settlement of Kardamena, in Kos. Its purpose is the urban planning of the area aiming to upgrade and create a sustainable and functional settlement, by taking into consideration the characteristics and needs of the area. The thesis is structured in three chapters. In the first one, the analysis of the settlement is conducted, after an on-site inspection, studying the existing land uses, the traffic, the public spaces and the implemented building regulations. In the second chapter, the evaluation of the existing situation is conducted, as derived from the analysis and the residents, through questionnaires distributed in person and electronically. The third section describes the proposed corrective urban fabric interventions that were deemed necessary in the four above-mentioned areas, following the evaluation of the existing situation, while an expansion is also proposed, following the same planning principles. | en |
