| Content Summary | Σκοπός της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η ανάδειξη της σημαντικότητας των υφιστάμενων γεωλογικών και υδρογεωλογικών συνθηκών, για την προστασία του καρστικού υδροφορέα στην περιοχή Αγυιάς, Χανίων. Ο υδροφορέας παρέχει, σήμερα, άριστης ποιότητας και σε ικανή ποσότητα πόσιμο νερό διευκολύνοντας την ομαλή παροχή και την τροφοδοσία του, στους κατοίκους και τους επισκέπτες, στο νομό Χανίων. Ειδικότερα στη διάρκεια της τουριστικής περιόδου, τους θερινούς μήνες, του έτους, όταν και οι ανάγκες σε ζήτηση νερού αυξάνονται σημαντικά. Αντικείμενο της παρούσας εργασίας αποτελεί η ανάλυση των κρίσιμων γεωπαραγόντων, με στόχο τον προσδιορισμό εκείνων των ενεργειών, που η εφαρμογή τους θα οδηγήσει στην περαιτέρω αειφόρα διαχείριση του καρστικού υδροφορέα στην περιοχή Αγυιάς, Χανίων. Συγκεκριμένα, οι γεωπαράγοντες που θα εξεταστούν είναι οι γεωλογικοί σχηματισμοί, οι υδρολογικές, υδρολιθολογικές, υδρογεωλογικές και τεκτονικές συνθήκες που επικρατούν στην περιοχή. Η μέθοδος που χρησιμοποιήθηκε βασίζεται στη συγκέντρωση και επεξεργασία δεδομένων, όπως είναι οι επικρατούσες κλιματολογικές συνθήκες, η ποσότητα του αποθηκευμένου νερού στους ταμιευτήρες και οι χημικές αναλύσεις της ποιότητας του. Τέλος, τα συμπεράσματα προκύπτουν από την εξαγωγή ασφαλών αποτελεσμάτων, με γνώμονα τη δυνατότητα περαιτέρω άντλησης υδάτων και της αειφόρου αξιοποίησής του. | el |
| Content Summary | The purpose of the current dissertation thesis is to highlight the importance of the existing, prevailing environmental conditions for the protection of the karstic aquifer in the area of Agia, Chania. Today, the aquifer provides drinking water of excellent quality and in sufficient quantity, to the residents and visitors, in the area of Chania, especially during the summer (tourist season), when the drinking water needs are increasing significantly. The objective of this thesis is the analysis of the critical geofactors, in order to identify the necessary actions, which must be implemented and which will lead to the further sustainable management of the karstic aquifer in the abovementioned area. In particular, the geofactors that will be examined are the geological formations, the hydrological and tectonic conditions that prevail in the area. The method that will be used is based on the acquisition and processing of data, such as the prevailing climatic conditions, the existing quantity of water in the reservoirs and its chemical analysis, resulting in safe conclusions and aiming to the further sustainable exploitation of of the karstic aquifer in the area of Agia, Chania. | en |
