| Content Summary | Η Βιομηχανική Επανάσταση μεταμόρφωσε την οικονομία από γεωργική σε βιομηχανική, αυξάνοντας την παραγωγικότητα και το παγκόσμιο βιοτικό επίπεδο. Σε διάστημα 200 ετών, τα ποσοστά φτώχειας μειώθηκαν και το προσδόκιμο ζωής αυξήθηκε σημαντικά. Ωστόσο, αυτή η ανάπτυξη οδήγησε σε αυξημένη κατανάλωση ενέργειας και πρώτων υλών, η οποία προβλέπεται να συνεχιστεί τουλάχιστον μέχρι το 2035. Η πίεση που ασκούν οι ανθρώπινες δραστηριότητες στο περιβάλλον πλέον έχει εμφανή συνέπειες. Η κυκλική οικονομία είναι ένα μοντέλο που αποσκοπεί στον μετριασμό αυτής της πίεσης με τη δημιουργία οικονομικών οφελών και τη μείωση των περιβαλλοντικών επιπτώσεων. Βασίζεται σε τρεις αρχές: α) την εξάλειψη της ρύπανσης και των αποβλήτων, β) την κυκλική ροή προϊόντων και υλικών και γ) την αναγέννηση της φύσης. Πιο συγκεκριμένα τα κύρια στάδια της κυκλικής οικονομίας είναι τα εξής, πρόληψη – επαναχρησιμοποίηση – ανάκτηση – ανακύκλωση – απόρριψη. Η κυκλική οικονομία έχει τη δυνατότητα να φέρει επανάσταση στον τρόπο με τον οποίο παράγουμε και καταναλώνουμε αγαθά και μπορεί να συμβάλει στην εξοικονόμηση πόρων και στη μείωση των αποβλήτων. Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή, εξετάζει το βαθμό εξοικείωσης και ενημέρωσης των εταιρειών πλαστικού με τον όρο της Κυκλικής Οικονομίας, καθώς και αν οι εταιρείες έχουν πραγματοποιήσει ήδη εφαρμογές αυτής. Για το σκοπό αυτό δημιουργήθηκε ένα ερωτηματολόγιο και με τη βοήθεια της S.W.O.T. Analysis εντοπίστηκαν τα πλεονεκτήματα και οι ευκαιρίες, τα μειονεκτήματα και οι κίνδυνοι για την εφαρμογή της Κυκλικής Οικονομίας στην Βιομηχανία Πλαστικού. Μετά το πέρας της διαδικασίας, έγινε σχολιασμός των αποτελεσμάτων και παρουσιάστηκαν τα τελικά συμπεράσματα. | el |
| Content Summary | The Industrial Revolution transformed the economy from an agricultural to an industrial one, increasing productivity and the global standard of living. Over 200 years, poverty rates fell and life expectancy increased significantly. However, this growth has led to increased consumption of energy and raw materials, which is projected to continue at least until 2035. The pressure of human activities on the environment now has obvious consequences. The circular economy is a model that aims to mitigate this pressure by generating economic benefits and reducing environmental impacts. It is based on three principles: a) the elimination of pollution and waste, b) the circular flow of products and materials, and c) the regeneration of nature. More specifically, the main stages of the circular economy are: prevention - reuse - recovery - recycling - disposal. The circular economy has the potential to revolutionise the way we produce and consume goods and can help to save resources and reduce waste. This Master's thesis, examines the degree of familiarity and awareness of plastic companies with the term Circular Economy, and whether companies have already carried out applications of it. For this purpose a questionnaire was created and with the help of S.W.O.T. Analysis the advantages and opportunities, disadvantages and risks for the implementation of the Circular Economy in the Plastic Industry were identified. At the end of the process, the results were commented and the final conclusions were presented. | en |
