| Content Summary | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία επικεντρώνεται στη δημιουργία ενός οίκου ευγηρίας ειδικά σχεδιασμένος για την φιλοξενία και φροντίδα ηλικιωμένων ανθρώπων που πάσχουν από άνοια στην περιοχή της Αγίας Κυριακής στα Χανιά της Κρήτης. Στόχος είναι οι φιλοξενούμενοι να αισθάνονται οικεία και ασφαλείς σε ένα περιβάλλον όπου όλες τους οι ανάγκες καλύπτονται και παράλληλα να λαμβάνουν μια διέγερση της μνήμης και του μυαλού τους. Η μονάδα τοποθετείται σε μια ήσυχη γειτονιά, χωρίς να είναι απομονωμένη απ’ τον αστικό ιστό και με πανοραμική θέα προς τη θάλασσα. Η περιοχή αυτή αξιοποιείται με τους πολλαπλούς υπαίθριους χώρους που παρέχει το κτίριο, οι οποίοι προσφέρουν στους κατοίκους δυνατότητες για περίπατο, κοινωνική αλληλεγγύη και επαφή με τη φύση, καθώς επίσης πολλές δραστηριότητες στο πρόγραμμα της μονάδας μπορούν να λάβουν χώρα σε εξωτερικό χώρο. Επιπλέον, η επαφή με την πόλη επιτυγχάνεται με το δημόσιο καφέ που βρίσκεται στον οίκο και είναι ανοιχτό προς τους επισκέπτες, οι οποίοι μπορούν να περάσουν χρόνο με το αγαπημένο τους πρόσωπο σε έναν εκτενή υπαίθριο χώρο στον όροφο του κτιρίου. | el |
| Content Summary | This thesis focuses on the creation of a nursing home specially designed for the hospitality and care of elderly people suffering from dementia in the area of Agia Kyriaki in Chania, Crete. The goal is for the guests to feel at home and safe in an environment where all their needs are met and at the same time they receive a stimulation of their memory and mind. The unit is located in a quiet neighbourhood, without being isolated from the city and with a panoramic view of the sea. This area is utilized by the multiple outdoor spaces provided by the building, which offer residents opportunities for walking, social solidarity and contact with nature, as well as many activities in the unit's program can take place outdoors. In addition, contact with the city is achieved through the public café located in the home and open to visitors, who can spend time with their loved one in an extensive outdoor space on the first floor of the building. | en |
