This research explores the relationship between play and spatial design, aiming to understand how playful structures and practices can influence architectural thinking. Starting from a conceptual approach to play, it identifies its core characteristics and examines how play generates new experiences, transforming space from mere geometry into a dynamic field of action. Subsequently, fundamental architectural archetypes are presented, recognized as stable forms deeply connected to imagination and the spirit of play. The study draws examples from various fields—games with spatial qualities and architectural works with playful features—highlighting the multiple possibilities for integrating play into design. Through this synthesis, research investigates how the user can become an active player and how space can encourage participation, exploration, and creative imagination. In its concluding part, the study argues that play is not merely a means of entertainment but a significant way of interpreting and shaping space. It maintains that integrating play into design can contribute to a more experiential, human-centered, and inspired Architecture.
