This thesis focuses on the design of an urban game in Chania that draws upon the city’s historical sites, usually invisible in the daily life of its inhabitants. The aim is to reconnect with the memory of place through an experiential process of wandering, where the resident-player actively engages with the urban space. The study concentrates on five sites distributed between the Old Town and the Venetian Harbor, each representing a milestone in the history of Chania. Small-scale interventions are proposed at these locations, inspired by local narratives and the unique features of each site, creating conditions for pausing, observing, and playing. The city thus operates as a board, becoming a field where history, experience, and movement intertwine. The game reactivates the selected sites, inviting the walker to chart their own path. The proposal seeks to foster a new, personal relationship with places and to highlight the city as a living game.
