In the ever-growing sector of managing energy resources in order to reduce the planet’s energy consumption, the energy management of buildings is among the most important areas the international research is conducted and new applications are continuously developed. The present diploma thesis studies methods of recovering data of the conditions of a building as well as predicting the presence of occupants in it. The aim of these methods is to ensure the integrity of data in order to achieve their better assess and subsequent use in the system of managing the building, as well as to give the system operating logic the ability to predict such parameters as the presence of occupants, estimating the hours that the areas of the building should be conditioned. More specifically, since background of the methods studied the theoretical was developed in detail, experiments were carried out using methods of real data, of room temperature and the presence of people, and conclusions were drawn on the effectiveness of methods depending on the characteristics of the samples used.
