Content SummaryIn this paper we explore, via an extensive simulation study, the performance of a new medium access control (MAC) protocol when integrating voice, video and E-mail data packet traffic over a wireless channel of high capacity, with errors. We evaluate the voice and video packet dropping probabilities and the average E-mail data message delays. Our scheme achieves high aggregate channel throughput in all cases of traffic load, despite the presence of noise in the system and the very restraining video dropping probability limiten
