Content SummaryDimensional properties of a particulate material are considered to be the mass, the surface area, the length and the number of its particles. The paper examines the variation of the distribution of these properties versus size as a function of the energy consumption during grinding. The data obtained show that the distributions of these properties have one maximum and one minimum size limit. Additionally, the presentation of the cumulative distribution of each of these properties, versus size between these two limits, can be approximated by an exponential curve, which if plotted in a log–log diagram gives an almost linear relationship. However, only ̴ 50% of the data can be described by this linear relationship. The question that rises is whether these properties can be considered to be fractal. en
