The implementation of low-cost 3D Stereo Vision systemsrequires stereo matching algorithms. Various efforts have beenreported in literature, however, these systems require substantialhardware resources. The contribution of the present work is on a lowcostreal-time system, which was fully implemented on a smallXilinx FPGA. The system presented in this work extends previousresults of the authors through design space exploration, architectureimprovements and careful problem sizing.
