Content Summary | Aerosol exposure by inhalation is of great
interest in occupational health, as it represents a
major potential source of hazard for workers in many
industrial environments. Workers' inhaled dose
assessment is far from being routinely performed in
many workplaces. The aim of this study is to
investigate the effect of hygroscopicity of specific
aerosol species on the workers' inhaled dose. For this
purpose the airborne particulate matter concentration
and the distribution of health-relevant chemical
species that are released in an industrial workplace
