The present study attempts to investigate the urban stream restoration and daylighting technics as a green infrastructure of urban landscape internationally. The main object of this research is the stream as a limit but also as a connection element of the urban web. Considering the urban streams as an intervention area for urban planning, it is attempted to establish connections with the landscape , the natural environment and the city. Therefore, a reference is made to the theory of landscape urbanism that investigates the limit between civic and nature as a part of urban landscape.Furthermore, this study focuses on the meaning of urban green spaces and their importance. They are presented as part of green infrastructure while their benefits and urban functions in the city are examined.In addition, a reference is made to the recovery efforts of natural environment as part of the studies of natural stream restoration and stream daylighting.Finally, there is a detailed description of eight specific examples, which are categorized in two sections, the creation of an urban park and the creation of urban green corridors. This description includes a brief historical reference of the stream, the reasons to restore it and the political strategies, the construction, the methological framework, the architectural analysis and the results in the cultural, economic and natural environment.
