| Content Summary | Από τα μέσα του 20ου αιώνα, έγινε φανερό ότι οι πόλεις και ο σχεδιασμός τους άρχισαν να χάνουν τον ανθρωποκεντρικό τους χαρακτήρα, πυροδοτώντας κοινωνικές παθογένειες στο αστικό τοπίο. Στα πλαίσια της έρευνας σχετικής με την αστική κινητικότητα, έχουν εντοπισθεί πολιτικές και στρατηγικές οι οποίες προωθούν τη βιώσιμη αστική κινητικότητα (ΒΑΚ) ͘ ένα σύγχρονο, βιώσιμο μοντέλο μετακινήσεων και μεταφορών στις πόλεις. Αντικείμενο της ερευνητικής αποτελεί η μελέτη τριών Σχεδίων Βιώσιμης Αστικής Κινητικότητας (ΣΒΑΚ) και των πλεονεκτημάτων τους, που αναπτύσσονται στις πόλεις της Θεσσαλονίκης, της Κοπεγχάγης και της Βαρκελώνης. Η επιλογή των περιπτώσεων έγινε ώστε να παρουσιασθούν πόλεις με διαφορετικό πληθυσμό και συνεπώς κλιμακούμενες ανάγκες κινητικότητας. Στόχος της εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση εφαρμοσμένων πρακτικών οι οποίες προωθούν τη βιώσιμη αστική κινητικότητα και η διερεύνηση του βαθμού επιρροής στο υφιστάμενο μοντέλο μετακίνησης. Στο πρώτο μέρος της εργασίας, εισάγεται η έννοια της βιωσιμότητας και της εφαρμογής της στην αστική κινητικότητα, ενώ περιγράφονται βιώσιμες πρακτικές και οι προϋποθέσεις που προωθούν τη ΒΑΚ. Ακολουθεί αναφορά στα ΣΒΑΚ και στον τρόπο υλοποίησής τους. Τέλος, εντοπίζονται τα προβλήματα και αναλύονται τα πακέτα μέτρων που έχουν επιλεχθεί για κάθε μια από τις περιπτώσεις. Τα τελικά συμπεράσματα αφορούν τόσο την κάθε πόλη ξεχωριστά όσο και τη βιώσιμη προσέγγιση των μέσων μετακίνησης. | el |
| Content Summary | Since the mid-20th century, it has been clear that cities and their planning have begun to lose their anthropocentric character, triggering social pathogens in the urban landscape. Research on urban mobility has identified a range of policies and strategies, dubbed SUM (Sustainable Urban Mobility), that promote sustainable growth through a modern mobility and urban transportation model. The presented work focuses on the study of three Sustainable Mobility Plans and their effects on the cities of Thessaloniki, Copenhagen and Barcelona. The selection of these case studies was particularly motivated by the fact that each of them is having a unique set of “urban needs” due to their difference in terms of size and demographics. Our aim is not only to present the practices that promote the sustainable urban mobility but also to investigate the degree to which they have influenced the existing transportation models. In the first part of this thesis, we introduce the reader to the concept of Sustainable Urban Mobility and describe the practices and conditions required for its growth. The presentation of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans under study along with their implementation follows. Finally, we present the three case studies mentioned above, pinpoint the challenges they impose as well as their causes, analyze the packages of measures selected to address each of them, and draw conclusions regarding their effectiveness. | en |
