| Content Summary | Ο δήμος Ζωγράφου, όμορος του δήμου Αθηνών, βρίσκεται στους πρόποδες του Υμηττού, παρουσιάζοντας έντονο γεωγραφικό ανάγλυφο, ενώ χαρακτηρίζεται από τη φοιτητική ζωή καθώς φιλοξενεί τα δύο μεγαλύτερα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα της χώρας (ΕΜΠ, ΕΚΠΑ). Πρόσφατες έρευνες κατέταξαν το δήμο στην πέμπτη θέση των πιο πυκνοκατοικημένων περιοχών της Ευρώπης. Η κινητικότητα στο δήμο, αποτελεί πρόκληση τόσο για τους μόνιμους κατοίκους όσο και για τον καθημερινό φόρτο που δέχεται από τη λειτουργία των ιδρυμάτων. Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία, παρουσιάζεται ο δήμος Ζωγράφου, τα ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά του, τα δίκτυα του αστικού ιστού ενώ παράλληλα καταγράφονται οι ελλείψεις και οι σύγχρονες ανάγκες του. Οι προτεινόμενες επεμβάσεις, στοχεύουν στην προώθηση της μη μηχανοκίνητης κίνηση και στην ανάδειξή της ως βασική αστική λειτουργία. Παράλληλα, δίνονται κατευθύνσεις για την ένταξη τεχνολογικών συστημάτων τα οποία διασφαλίζουν απρόσκοπτη και ασφαλή κινητικότητα στο πλαίσιο του δήμου. | el |
| Content Summary | The municipality of Zografou, adjacent to the municipality of Athens, is located at the base of mt. Hymettus, showing a strong geographical morphology. The city is characterized by the student life as it hosts the two largest educational institutions in the country. Recent surveys ranked the municipality as the fifth densest area of Europe. Mobility in the municipality, is a challenge both for permanent residents and for those who commute for educational reasons. In the first part of this diploma thesis, we introduce the audience to the particular characteristics of Zografou, describing the conditions and recording the modern needs of the citizens. The proposed interventions aim to promote non-motorized traffic and its emergence as basic urban function. At the same time, guidance is given to integrate technological systems that ensure unobstructed and secure mobility within the municipality. | en |
