The term “the city in the city” refers to a building complex or a number of city blocks which make up an autonomous universe, a miniature of the whole which they are part of. Similarly, the campus is a microcosmos, making use of the organizational and structural principles of the host city to construct a communal environment. The expansion of this relation between city and campus is the focus of the present project and specific examples are being studied.
