| Content Summary | Ο όρος “the city in the city” αναφέρεται σε ένα κτιριακό συγκρότημα ή ένα σύνολο οικοδομικών τετραγώνων, που αποτελούν έναν αυτόνομο κόσμο, μία μινιατούρα του συνόλου από το οποίο κατασκευάζονται. Η πανεπιστημιο-πολη αποτελεί μια μικρογραφία της πόλης που την φιλοξενεί, καθώς συχνά διέπεται από τις ίδιες οργανωτικές και δομικές αρχές, τις οποίες χρησιμοποιεί για την δημιουργία ενός κοινοτικού περιβάλλοντος. Η διερεύνηση της σχέσης που αναπτύσσουν πόλη-πανεπιστημιούπολη στα σημεία επαφής τους, αποτελεί το αντικείμενο της παρούσας εργασίας και πραγματοποιείται με την μελέτη συγκεκριμένων παραδειγμάτων. | Content Summary | The term “the city in the city” refers to a building complex or a number of city blocks which make up an autonomous universe, a miniature of the whole which they are part of. Similarly, the campus is a microcosmos, making use of the organizational and structural principles of the host city to construct a communal environment. The expansion of this relation between city and campus is the focus of the present project and specific examples are being studied.
