The Hot springs that exist in the Municipality of Thermi, in the island of Lesvos, have formed the characteristics of the region since the ancient times. The lack of contemporary practices for the exploitation of the springs causes problems to the community. This thesis is focusing on the design of a complete thermalistic center that responds to modern design practices, with respect to the environment, the legacy and the cultural characteristics of the area, and also to the thermalistic philosophy itself. More specifically, the characteristics and the possibilities of the case study are examined and analyzed, the theory of thermalism is presented, which ultimately are shaping the design and the form of the building and its surrounding area.
