| Content Summary | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία στοχεύει στην μελέτη διατήρησης και αναζωογόνησης του ιστορικού πυρήνα της πόλης του Ρεθύμνου , με την βοήθεια επεμβάσεων στον πολεοδομικό ιστό της. Καθώς ένα ιστορικό κέντρο αποτελεί την ζωντανή συνέχεια της πόλης που έχει σχεδιαστεί και διαμορφωθεί με το πέρας του χρόνου σε μία πολεοδομική ενότητα, καλείται να καλύψει τις σύγχρονές ανάγκες της. Μέσω της προσπάθειας ανασυγκρότησης του δημοσίου χώρου,τον επανασχεδιασμό των δικτύων και των χρήσεων γης της πόλης, καθώς και τον καθορισμό όρων και περιορισμών δόμησης ,επιδιώκεται η συνολική αναβάθμιση του ιστορικού κέντρου και η βέλτιστη σύνδεση αυτού με τον σύγχρονο αστικό ιστό. Η πρόταση αποσκοπεί σε έναν βιώσιμο πολεοδομικό σχεδιασμό με ενεργό ρόλο στη σύγχρονη ζωή αλλά κυρίως με σεβασμό στη μνήμη και την αξία του παρελθόντος. | el |
| Content Summary | The aim of this master’s dissertation is to present an urban planning proposal, for the development and revitalization of the historic core of the city of Rethymno. Since a historic center reflects the vivid life of a city as it has been designed and constructed over the years in an urban unity, the proposal seeks to fulfill its current needs.Through the re-organization of the public places, the replanning of the systems, networks and land uses, as well as the proper building restrictions, the proposal aims to achieve the revitalization of the historic center and tis best connection to the modern city. Τhis proposal intents to a viable urban planning with an active role in the modern life, but mostly with respect to the memory and the value of the past. | en |
