| Content Summary | Η παρούσα εργασία μελετά βασικές αρχές της οπτικής αντίληψης και θεωρίες αστικού χώρου υπό το πρίσμα της μορφολογικής προσέγγισης, με σκοπό την κατανόηση της αντιληπτικής διαδικασίας της οπτικής μορφής του περιβάλλοντος, και σε συνέπεια την αποκωδικοποίηση της μορφής του αστικού χώρου. Συγκεκριμένα, διερευνάται η ανθρώπινη αντίληψη και οι διαδικασίες πρόσληψης της χωρικής πληροφορίας μέσω της αίσθησης της όρασης, γίνεται μια επισκόπηση των βασικών θεωριών της οπτικής αντίληψης, με έμφαση στην θεωρία της Gestalt, και τελικά μελετώνται οι θεωρίες του αστικού χώρου του C. Sitte, του K. Lynch, του R. Arnheim, του C. Rowe, του F. Koetter και του Κ. Δεκαβάλλα. Οι εν λόγω θεωρίες προσεγγίζονται προκειμένου να διερευνηθεί η αντίληψη της πόλης, καθώς η σχέση μορφής-φόντου (figure-ground) στον αστικό ιστό, ώστε να εξεταστούν οι επιπτώσεις της στον καθορισμό της οπτικής μορφής. | el |
| Content Summary | This paper intends to examine the basic principles of visual perception and urban space theories in the light of the morphological approach, in pursuance of the comprehension of the perceptual process of the visual form of the surrounding environment, and consequently the decipherment of the urban space form. In particular, human perception and the processes of perceiving spatial information through the sense of sight are probed, an overview of the basic theories of visual perception is provided, with an emphasis on Gestalt theory, and finally urban space theories by C. Sitte, K. Lynch, R. Arnheim, C. Rowe, F. Koetter and K. Dekavallas are perused. These theories are approached in order to explore the figure-ground relationship in the urban fabric and to inquire its effects on the delineation of the visual form. | en |
