| Content Summary | O κόλπος της Ελούντας αποτελεί μία περιοχή που έχει στιγματιστεί από την ανακατασκευή του δομημένου τοπίου λόγω του φαινομένου του τουρισμού, λειτουργώντας άλλοτε θετικά και άλλοτε εις βάρος του. Οι χωρικές αντιθέσεις του σήμερα, η συνύπαρξη ιστορίας-τοπίου-τουριστικής δραστηριότητας έχουν συντελέσει στην διαμόρφωση της σημερινής εικόνας του κόλπου. Η εργασία χωρίζεται σε δύο ενότητες. Η πρώτη, πραγματεύεται την ιστορική και παράλληλα την οικιστική εξέλιξη του κόλπου της Ελούντας από την αρχαιότητα μέχρι σήμερα. Εμβαθύνουμε στην περίοδο από το 1960 και έπειτα, όπου λόγω άνθισης του τουρισμού παρατηρούνται μεγαλύτερες χωρικές αλλαγές. Παράλληλα, παρατίθενται και σχολιάζονται μελέτες και προτάσεις που στοχεύουν στην αξιοποίηση και βελτίωση της περιοχής μελέτης. Με βάση τα παραπάνω, στην δεύτερη ενότητα αναλύεται η σημερινή εικόνα της περιοχής, και μελετάται ο βαθμός επίδρασης του τουρισμού και αλλοίωσης του κόλπου, Κλείνοντας, γίνεται αξιολόγηση των παραπάνω. Τις επιμέρους ενότητες συνοδεύουν χάρτες και collage εικόνων που οι ίδιες επεξεργαστήκαμε με σκοπό την καλύτερη αντίληψη της περιοχής μελέτης | el |
| Content Summary | Elounda Bay constitutes an area stigmatized by the reconstruction of its landscape’s due to the phenomenon of tourism. The final outcome of which has been both either positive or negative. The spatial contradictions, the coexistence of history, landscape and tourism have contributed to the formation of the current image of the bay. Our research thesis is divided in two sections. The first deals with the historical and residential development of Elounda bay from the antiquity until today. We delve into the period from 1960 onwards, when the most obvious spatial changes have been observed as an effect of flourish of tourism. At the same time, we mention studies and proposals that aim to the improvement of the area. Based on the above, in the second section we critically analyze and evaluate the current image of Elounda bay, the degree of the impact of tourism, as well as the alteration caused to the bay. Each section is accompanied by maps and collages that we created, in order to achieve a better understanding of the area that is being studied. | en |
