| Content Summary | Στόχος της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η διερεύνηση της σχέσης που έχει η σύγχρονη πόλη με την αστική ευημερία, την επίτευξη της σωματικής και πνευματικής ευεξίας των κατοίκων της. Το βασικό ερευνητικό ερώτημα είναι αφενός το πώς ανταποκρίνονται οι έξυπνες πόλεις σήμερα στη σύγχρονη πρόκληση για τη γενικότερη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής στις πόλεις αλλά και πώς οι ίδιοι οι πολίτες διαδραματίζουν ενεργό ρόλο σε αυτή τη διαδικασία. Με επίκεντρο το δημόσιο χώρο, η εργασία αναπτύσσει μια μεθοδολογία που βασίζεται στη χρήση αστικών τεχνολογιών και στην οπτικοποίηση δεδομένων για τη συμμετοχική επανάκτηση των υπαρχόντων δημόσιων ανοιχτών χώρων της πόλης όσον αφορά την αστική ευημερία. Μέσω της μεθοδολογίας προτείνεται ότι μια συνεχής κυκλική διαδικασία μπορεί να ενισχύσει την αναγέννηση των αστικών χώρων, εν μέρει σε επίπεδο γειτονιάς και συνολικά σε επίπεδο πόλης, και να βοηθήσει τους δημόσιους ανοιχτούς χώρους να διαμορφωθούν ως πιο βιώσιμα αστικά περιβάλλοντα με τον ενεργό ρόλο των πολιτών. | el |
| Content Summary | The aim of the dissertation is to investigate the relationship of the contemporary city with urban prosperity, the achievement of physical and mental well-being of its inhabitants. The key research question is on the one hand how smart cities today are responding to the contemporary challenge of improving the overall quality of life in cities but also how citizens themselves are playing an active role in this process. Focusing on public space, research develops a methodology based on the use of urban technologies and data visualization for the participatory regain of existing public open spaces in the city in terms of urban prosperity. Through the proposed methodology it is expected that a cyclical process can continuously empower the urban spaces regeneration, partially at neighborhood level and overall at the city level, and help public open spaces be shaped as more sustainable urban environments with the active role of citizens. | en |
