Η εν λόγω ερευνητική αναφέρεται στην αποξένωση του σύγχρονου δομημένου περιβάλλοντος από τη φύση, στα ωφέλη που προσφέρει η αντίθετη πρακτική, δηλαδή ο σχεδιασμός με γνώμονα τη φύση και το πως ένας τέτοιου είδους σχεδιασμός θα μπορούσε να επηρεάσει τις συνθήκες εκπαίδευσης σε υφιστάμενο σχολικό κτίριο.
