The present thesis concerns an agritourism estivation unit which is placed in the hinterland of Heraklion, Crete. The study area is located in Aidonochori, a mountain village thirty kilometers southwest of the city of Heraklion. The design follows the existing relief of the area. The unit consists of 38 independent accommodations with a maximum number of beds of 164. Common areas include: reception area, lecture hall, small refreshment area, swimming pool, spa, gym, mini market, cafeteria, restaurant, summer cinema, museum of traditional exhibits. For the uses that concern the part of agritourism there is a horse riding area, an area where activities are carried out which concern agriculture and animal husbandry as well as a separate place for keeping animals. Also in the area are included areas of crops: olive grove, vineyard, orchards, traditional aromatic plants.
