| Content Summary | Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι η διερεύνηση των χωρικών μετασχηματισμών που εμφανίζουν αστικά περιβάλλοντα μεσογειακών πόλεων με έντονο θρησκευτικό χαρακτήρα και αφορούν στην αστική παρουσία μειονοτήτων σχετιζόμενων με ιδιάζουσες σεξουαλικές πρακτικές. Αντικείμενο της παρούσας εργασίας αποτελούν οι χώροι εργασίας σεξεργατριών και οι queer χώροι στην πόλης της Βηρυτού σε τρεις κομβικές χρονικές περιόδους: πριν, κατά την διάρκεια και μετά τον εμφύλιο πόλεμο (1975-1990) ο οποίος επέδρασε καταλυτικά στον αναπροσδιορισμό των αντιλήψεων περί «διαφορετικότητας» ως αποτέλεσμα της παλινδρόμησης μεταξύ Ανατολής και Δύσης. | el |
| Content Summary | The purpose of this work is to investigate the spatial transformations that appear in urban environments of Mediterranean cities with a strong religious character and to analyze the urban presence of minorities related to specific sexual practices. The object of this paper is the workplaces of sex workers and queer spaces in the city of Beirut in three key time periods: before, during and after the civil war (1975-1990). The result of this war and the collision between East and West parts of the city had a huge effect in redefining the meaning of the word "difference" and in the urban space used by “different” minorities. | en |
