| Content Summary | Ο οικισμός Ετιά στην Π.Ε. Λασιθίου, Κρήτης, αποτελούσε το σημαντικότερο φέουδο του οροπεδίου Αρμενοχανδράδων τη περίοδο της Ενετοκρατίας. Σήμερα ο οικισμός είναι εγκαταλελειμμένος και εκτεθειμένος στη φθορά του χρόνου. Η παρούσα εργασία επιχειρεί να συγκροτήσει μια ολοκληρωμένη εικόνα για το ιστορικό και πολεοδομικό παλίμψηστο του οικισμού καθώς και τις συνθήκες που οδήγησαν στην εγκατάλειψη του στις αρχές του 21ου αιώνα. Ο στόχος αυτός υλοποιείται από την ένωση των διαθέσιμων ιστορικών τεκμηρίων και από πρωτογενή επιτόπια έρευνα. Επιπρόσθετα, παρουσιάζονται σχέδια αποτύπωσης του οικισμού μέσα από τα οποία γίνεται καταγραφή και ανάλυση των στοιχείων που συμπληρώνουν την ιστορία και τη ταυτότητα του. Τέλος, υπό το πρίσμα της επανακατοίκησης του οικισμού αλλά και αντίστοιχων περιπτώσεων εγκαταλελειμμένων οικιστικών συνόλων γίνεται μελέτη παραδειγμάτων αποκατάστασης και επέκτασης. Κάθε περίπτωση που επιλέχθηκε, αντιμετωπίζει με διαφορετική προσέγγιση το ζήτημα της ένταξης νέων κτιρίων και επεμβάσεων στον υφιστάμενο ιστό. | el |
| Content Summary | The settlement of Etia in Lassithi, Crete, was the most important fief of the Armenohandradas plateau during the Venetian occupation. Today the settlement is abandoned and exposed to the ravages of time. This paper attempts to build a comprehensive picture of the historical and urban palimpsest of the settlement and the circumstances that led to its abandonment at the beginning of the 21st century. This objective is realized by combining the available historical documents and primary field research. In addition, mapping plans of the settlement are presented through which the elements that complete its history and identity are recorded and analysed. Finally, in the light of the repopulation of the settlement and corresponding cases of abandoned settlements, examples of restoration and expansion are studied. Each case selected takes a different approach to the issue of the integration of new buildings and interventions in the existing fabric. | en |
