| Content Summary | Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία, πραγματοποιείται μια λεπτομερής τρισδιάστατη αποτύπωση των όψεων και της στέγης του ναού με την χρήση φωτογραμμετρικών μεθόδων και συμβατικών γεωδαιτικών μεθόδων. Για την αποτύπωση, έγινε χρήση UAV (drone), και φωτογραφικής μηχανικής (mirrorless) για την λήψη εναέριων και επίγειων φωτογραφιών αντίστοιχα, ώστε να γίνει ανακατασκευή τρισδιάστατου μοντέλου και δημιουργία ορθομωσαικού της περιοχής. Επίσης, εξαιτίας της μικρής επιφάνειας της εκκλησίας έγινε αποτύπωση του εσωτερικου με την χρήση γεωδαιτικού σταθμου καθώς η φωτογραμμετρική μέθοδος θα ήταν χρονοβόρα διαδικασία, τόσο στις εργασίες του πεδίο όσο και στην ανακατασκευή του μοντέλου από το λογισμικό. | el |
| Content Summary | In the South-East of Akrotiri Chania and at a distance of 15 km from the city of Chania, at an altitude of 170m. on a plateau with an excellent view towards the gulf of Souda, for centuries the village named Sternes has been built. What is striking today in the above village is the large number of churches. The number is twenty-four (20) by the most modest calculations, because in a place that the American Base owns today there are more churches that are accessible only dur-ing holidays. One of the churches is the Holy Temple of Christ Pantocrator which is located in the center of the village. As the architectural design of the church suggests, it is estimated to have been built during the period of the Venetian rule, that is, be-fore 1637 AD. (according to the census of the year). In this thesis, a detailed 3D mapping of the facades and roof of the church is carried out using photogrammetric methods and conventional geodetic methods. For the mapping, a UAV (drone) and photographic camera (mirrorless) were used to shot aerial and ground photographs respectively, in order to reconstruct a 3D model and create an orthomosaic of the area. Also, due to the small area of the church, the interior was mapped using a Total Station as the photogrammetric method would be a time-consuming process, both in the field work and in the re-construction of the model by the software. The principle of operation of the instruments used is defined, while the meth-odology followed is also described and also the operating process with which the data were processed by the software.
