The aim of this essay is to identify the architectural techniques that convey the sense of "aesthetically lightweight" in construction and aesthetics and assess each ones level of impact on perception. To achieve this goal, the essay examines and categorizes existing techniques that are already often employed by architects. Subsequently , two questionnaires were administered to individuals with architectural education and the general public.Regarding the questionnaire given to the first group, it is based on comparing the architectural manipulations on a cube placed on a surface within a neutral environment, an image created using a 3D design software. The questionnaire given to the second group compared the same manipulations, this time illustrated on selected buildings using Photoshop. The comparison of the results of these questionnaires provide a clearer view of which techniques effectively convey the sensation of lightness and can be used to create an architectural manual that prioritizes user-friendly design and sensory experience of the space.
