The thesis presents a proposal for participation in the Serpentine Pavilion competition, an annual architectural event held in London since 2000. Based on the findings of the research "The perception of lightness in architecture - A study of architectural manipulations for the creation of a visual and constructive syntax", the pavilion aims to explore and apply the architectural manipulations that were found to communicate the sensation of lightness. To achieve this purpose, the findings are parameterized and the design is done using the program ‘’Grasshopper’’. Given that the Serpentine Pavilion competition inventiveness and innovation, while simultaneously attracting audiences from many different professional fields, it constitutes an ideal opportunity for the practical application of the research findings. The pavilion, beyond the above, is expected to combine aesthetics and functionality promoting experimental architecture and user-centric design.
