| Content Summary | Το τελευταίο διάστημα, οι σημαντικές παγκόσμιες αλλαγές που έχουν επιφέρει η κλιματική αλλαγή, η υγειονομική κρίση, η άνοδος της τεχνολογίας καθώς και οι γεωπολιτικές αναταραχές, καλούν τις εταιρείες να μετασχηματίζονται και να συμμετέχουν στη βελτίωση των συνθηκών της κοινωνίας, μέσω του πλαισίου των καθημερινών τους δραστηριοτήτων. Οι εταιρείες, αποτελώντας μέρος του κοινωνικού και οικονομικού ιστού, συνδυάζουν το κοινωνικό όφελος με το επιχειρηματικό κέρδος, υιοθετώντας νέες μορφές διακυβέρνησης βασισμένες στο περιβάλλον, την κοινωνία και την επιχειρηματική ηθική. Το τρίπτυχο περιβάλλον, κοινωνία και εταιρική διακυβέρνηση (ESG), αποτελεί σημαντικό στοιχείο χρηματοοικονομικής σταθερότητας και βιωσιμότητας. Τα κριτήρια ESG, παρέχουν σημαντικές πληροφορίες οι οποίες λαμβάνονται υπόψη στις χρηματοοικονομικές αποφάσεις επιχειρήσεων και οργανισμών. Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή εργασία, εξετάζει τα ζητήματα που καλούνται τα ESG κριτήρια να απαντήσουν, δηλαδή, ποιοι παράγοντες δομούν το πλαίσιο του ESG, καθώς και με ποιους τρόπους θα μπορεί μια εταιρεία ή ένας φορέας υπεύθυνος διαχείρισης επενδυτικών κεφαλαίων, να τα υιοθετήσει. Τέλος, η βασική μελέτη της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η χρηματοοικονομική αξιολόγηση και η μελέτη επίδοσης των κριτηρίων ESG σε εταιρείες του Χρηματιστηρίου Αξιών Αθηνών, δίνοντας σημαντικά συμπεράσματα που θα λειτουργήσουν συμπληρωματικά στην ήδη υπάρχουσα βιβλιογραφία πάνω στη μελέτη των ESG κριτηρίων. | el |
| Content Summary | Nowadays, the significant global changes caused by climate change, the health crisis, the rise of technology and the turbulence between populations, have called for companies the need to transform themselves and participate in improving the conditions of society through their daily activities. Firms, being part of the social and economic fabric, are combining social benefits along with business profit, by adopting new forms of governance based on their Environment, Society and Ethics. The criteria, Environment, Society and Governance or internationally referred to as, ESG, are important elements of financial stability and sustainability. ESG criteria, are important information that is taken into account in investment decisions, actions and lending decisions, as well as insurance in the medium and long time period. This paper, examines questions that ESG criteria are called upon to answer, such as which are the factors who structure the Environment, Society and Governance criteria, as well as the ways in which a firm or an entity responsible for managing investment funds can adopt them. Last but not least, the main study of this master thesis is the financial analysis and a performance study of ESG criteria of firms listed in the Athens Stock Exchange, providing important conclusions that will serve as a complement to the existing literature on the study of ESG criteria. | en |
