This thesis aims to revitalize the cultural life and improve the entire experience in the village of Assos, Kefalonia. The intervention takes place at a key point of the village, which marks both the end of the residential area and the entrance to the historic Venetian castle of Assos. In this area, it is proposed the conversion of the existing, informal parking area into a public square, in order to create a flexible space that will function as a reference point, becoming an important attraction for residents and visitors, while hosting cultural events of local and inter-regional importance. At the same time, the creation of a cultural centre is proposed there, which will be raised on the traces of an old tourist pavilion to host exhibitions, workshops, performances and other cultural events, while at the same time it will be an informative space for the history of the village and the castle. The placement of the cultural centre in this location will act in a symbolic way on the residents' memory, replacing the desolate building that has been degrading the area for years with a vivid structure accessible to all.
