The present thesis aims to create a support and recovery center for women in the area of Chalepa in Chania, Crete. Specifically, the intervention takes place in the square of the municipal nursing home, where a support space for women who have suffered abuse will be developed. The proposal includes the restoration of the dilapidated building in the square and its utilization to accommodate a significant portion of the needs that arise from the phenomenon of abuse. The restored building will serve as a reception area, where group psychotherapy sessions can also be held. Furthermore, within a welcoming and secure environment, the construction of small market buildings along the axis of the old building is proposed to promote the social integration and autonomy of women. A hosting building is positioned to the northwest of the square, next to the nursing home, offering accommodation spaces as well as venues for educational programs. The goal is to empower and educate women, providing an environment that encourages their growth and development.
