| Content Summary | Η αρχιτεκτονική επέμβαση σε ένα υφιστάμενο βιομηχανικό κέλυφος, αποτελεί σύνθετο εγχείρημα και οφείλει να ισορροπήσει ευαίσθητες αξίες, οι οποίες τις περισσότερες φορές αλληλοαναιρούνται, αλλά οφείλουμε να αναγνωρίσουμε πως στον κορεσμένο σύγχρονο αστικό ιστό, αποτελούν από τις λίγες ουσιαστικές λύσεις για διορθωτική επέμβαση σημαντικής κλίμακας. Η εργασία αυτή σκοπό έχει να εξετάσει τα βιομηχανικά κελύφη στην πορεία της ιστορίας τους, και να διακρίνει τις διάφορες ποιότητές τους. Στη συνέχεια εξετάζει σε παράθεση 3 σημαντικά παραδείγματα σημαντικών περιπτώσεων στον Ελλαδικό χώρο και άλλα 3 στον υπόλοιπο ευρωπαϊκό χώρο, δίνοντάς μας την ευκαιρία να δούμε τις διαφορές στη στάση που υιοθετούμε στη χώρα μας, σε σχέση με άλλες. Φυσικά στόχος δεν είναι μόνο να αποκομίσουμε θετικά παραδείγματα, αλλά να αναγνωρίσουμε και τα προς αποφυγήν ψεγάδια των εκάστοτε περιπτώσεων διαχείρισης. Η επιλογή των παραδειγμάτων γίνεται με γνώμονα συνάφειας με το θέμα της διπλωματικής μου εργασίας, καθώς οι περιπτώσεις είναι άφθονης ποικιλίας και δε συνάδουν απαραίτητα με το πρότυπο του εγκαταλελειμμένου εργοστασίου μεσαίας κλίμακος που την αφορά. | el |
| Content Summary | Architectural intervention to an existing industrial shell is a complex undertaking which needs to balance sensitive values, with usually contrasting natures. We must, however, recognize that in the saturated modern urban fabric, they are one of the few substantial solutions for corrective intervention on a significant scale. My thesis aims to examine the industrial shells in the course of their history, and to distinguish their various qualities. Then we examine 3 important examples of important cases in Greece and another 3 in the rest of the European area, giving us the opportunity to see the differences in attitude and values we adopt in our country, compared to others. Of course, the goal is not only to obtain positive examples, but also to recognize flaws to be avoided in each case. The selection of examples is based on relevance to the topic of my design thesis, as the cases are of ample variety and do not necessarily conform to the standard of the abandoned medium-scale factory it concerns. | en |
