| Περίληψη | Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία μελετάται η πόλη των Χανίων εστιάζοντας στο τμήμα της Παλιάς Πόλης. Συγκεκριμένα μέσω χαρτών, διαγραμμάτων και απεικονίσεων που αφορούν τις κινήσεις του πεζού, του αυτοκινήτου και του ποδηλάτου, τα δίκτυα δρόμων, και την πρόσβαση σε δημόσιους χώρους και μνημεία, διατυπώνονται συμπεράσματα για την καθημερινότητα των ατόμων ΑΜΕΑ. Σκοπός είναι ο εντοπισμός των προβλημάτων σε τομείς της καθημερινότητας και η ενίσχυση του αστικού συνόλου μέσα από την εφαρμογή καλών πρακτικών, με μέσα και υποδομές, οι οποίες θα εξασφαλίσουν την προσβασιμότητα σε άτομα ΑΜΕΑ. | el |
| Περίληψη | In recent years, the European Commission has been working on raising awareness concerning the living conditions of people with disabilities, the challenges they face in everyday life, and the tools to improve their daily lives. A key concern is the proper shaping and utilization of the environment in which they live. This research paper analyses the accessibility and the ways of improving the mobility of people with disabilities in European cities with historical centers. Specifically, the paper is divided into three chapters with their subsections. The first chapter is the introductory part of the research and two major international policies on accessibility and people with disabilities, information is given from the International Convention of the United Nations International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPS) are described. The importance of the European Disability Strategy 2010 - 2020 and its priority areas are also examined. The second chapter is based on the competition for the Most Accessible Cities in Europe that have been followed by Avila (Spain), Milan (Italy), and Lyon (France), which have conquered first place. This analysis focuses on their historical centers and how people with disabilities have been integrated into them. This is achieved by examples relating to European cities and the shaping of their mobility for the benefit of people with disabilities. In the third chapter, the conclusions of the above chapters are recorded with the aim of studying and highlighting the SUMPS through the exploration of good practices in the field of sustainable mobility practices followed by these cities in their historic center, promoting sustainable mobility for all people with disabilities. | en |
