This thesis investigates the ability of any buildings to mutate, creating different spatial qualities depending on the needs of the users. The transformation of these buildings is achieved with the help of a library of transformable elements derived from previous research. This library was created based on specific quality characteristics related to living in the residence as well as the percentage of preference of these characteristics by the users. More specifically, this work investigates the aforementioned ability to transform in two houses that were designed with completely different synthetic starting points, with different design tools and with different preferences in the quality characteristics included in the aforementioned library.
