| Content Summary | Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία εστιάζει σε επιλεγμένα έργα εμπορικής «πολυκατοίκησης» που ξεκίνησαν να κτίζονται εντός του πολεοδομικού συγκροτήματος της Αθήνας στον απόηχο της περιόδου οικονομικής ύφεσης των ετών 2008-2017 και επιχείρησαν την επανερμηνεία του μεταπολεμικού τύπου της αστικής πολυκατοικίας επιδιώκοντας συσχετισμούς με τον δημόσιο αστικό χώρο. Ως εκ τούτου, αναλύονται οι ιδιαίτεροι χειρισμοί του αστικού ορίου των εν λόγω πολυκατοικιών, και συγκεκριμένα της πρόσοψης -ως οπτικό φίλτρο θέασης και χωρικό φίλτρο μετάβασης- ανάμεσα στον δημόσιο χώρο της πόλης και τους ιδιωτικούς χώρους της πολυκατοικίας. Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι, υπό το πρίσμα της συνθετικής οργάνωσης της πρόσοψης της αστικής πολυκατοικίας ως στοιχείο με αστική συμπεριφορά, να αποτελέσει εφαλτήριο βήμα για την ανάδειξη τυχόν νέων στρατηγικών συσχετισμού με τον δημόσιο, κοινό χώρο της πόλης, που προμηνύουν ενδεχομένως νέες μορφές κοινωνικής συμβίωσης και οργάνωσης του χώρου κατόπιν της περιόδου οικονομικής ύφεσης. Τα πορίσματα υποδεικνύουν πως κατόπιν της περιόδου ύφεσης επιχειρούνται πιο «πορώδεις» χειρισμοί σε επίπεδο όψης: συγκεκριμένα, διαμορφώνεται συχνότερα “κατώφλι” εισόδου με την εξώθυρα να τοποθετείται σε εισχώρηση από το κτηριακό μέτωπο, και ενσωματώνονται συχνότερα ζωτικές λειτουργίες στην πρόσοψη, αξιοποιώντας την ως «κατοικημένη μάζα». Για την πληρέστερη επιστημονική τεκμηρίωση των συμπερασμάτων κρίνεται δόκιμο να εμπλουτιστεί η παρούσα έρευνα με περισσότερα παραδείγματα και ερμηνευτικά εργαλεία. | el |
| Content Summary | The current research focuses on selected multi-storey apartment buildings in Athens, locally referred as “polykatoikies”, that began to be constructed in the wake of the 2008-2017 Greek economic recession and aimed to reinterpret the post-war type of the urban polykatoikia. Emphasis is put on the apartment buildings that sought connections with Athens’ s public space and urban fabric through their spatial margin/edge dividing the private from the public realm. The polykatoikies are, thus, analyzed through the prism of their frontal façade’s compositional articulation, as the façade constitutes the visual and spatial filter between the public space of the city and the private spaces of the polykatoikia. The objective of the study, within the framework of the Athenian polykatoikia’ s façade as a constituent element exhibiting urban behavior, is to serve as a first step towards indicating new potential strategies of interaction with the public, common ground of the city. These strategies may unveil the emergence of new scenarios of urban symbiosis following the period of economic recession. The findings suggest that more “porous” architectural gestures are witnessed at the selected façades post-recession. For a more comprehensive understanding it is recommended that the research is further complemented with additional examples and interpretative tools. | en |
