In this diploma thesis, an attempt is made to create a bioclimatic school complex constructed from natural materials in the city of Heraklion, in the area of Voutes. Fundamental design elements include the light and the soil of the area, as the intense natural environment plays a leading role in the design, and the architectural intervention is harmonized with nature. The goal is to create a self-sufficient bioclimatic building, reducing its environmental footprint and transitioning to a new sustainable reality based on the principles of sustainability. Therefore, the construction of the building is entirely based on natural construction and materials sourced from the surrounding area. The building's frame is made of wood, the walls are filled with light-clay, and the floors are made of rammed earth. The school complex consists of preschool, primary, and secondary education facilities.
