The method of digital 3D modeling isdemonstrated using three examples ofgeological interest, on the island of Crete. Thegeological map of the Samaria gorge is revised,after transferring the existing geological mapand new field data to a 3D model. The 3Dpattern of tectonic lineaments of the Imbrosgorge is extracted and the orthophoto maps ofthe Kourtaliotiko Gorge are overlain on theDTM of the region.
