| Content Summary | Στη περιοχή του Δήμου Θερμής της Λέσβου υφίστανται ιαματικές πηγές οι οποίες έχουν διαμορφώσει τον χαρακτήρα της περιοχής από την αρχαιότητα έως τις μέρες μας. Πρόβλημα όμως αποτελεί η έλλειψη σύγχρονων λουτρικών εγκαταστάσεων. Η διπλωματική εργασία επικεντρώνεται στον σχεδιασμό ενός ολοκληρωμένου θερμαλιστικού κέντρου που ανταποκρίνεται στις σύγχρονες σχεδιαστικές μεθοδολογίες, με σεβασμό προς το περιβάλλον, την υπάρχουσα υλική και άυλη πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της περιοχής, καθώς και στην ίδια τη φιλοσοφία του θερμαλισμού. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, μελετώνται και αναλύονται τα χαρακτηριστικά και οι δυνατότητες της περιοχής μελέτης, παρουσιάζεται η σύγχρονη θεωρία του Θερμαλισμού, τα οποία τελικά καθορίζουν τον σχεδιασμό και τη μορφή των λουτρικών εγκαταστάσεων καθώς και τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο. | el |
| Content Summary | The Hot springs that exist in the Municipality of Thermi, in the island of Lesvos, have formed the characteristics of the region since the ancient times. The lack of contemporary practices for the exploitation of the springs causes problems to the community. This thesis is focusing on the design of a complete thermalistic center that responds to modern design practices, with respect to the environment, the legacy and the cultural characteristics of the area, and also to the thermalistic philosophy itself. More specifically, the characteristics and the possibilities of the case study are examined and analyzed, the theory of thermalism is presented, which ultimately are shaping the design and the form of the building and its surrounding area. | en |
