Summary

In the present thesis laser engraving experiments have been conducted (LASERTEC 40) on different materials and depths. Subsequently, the surfaces that have been engraved have been studied with an optical profilometer (Contour GT-K 3D Optical Microscope). The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of the surfaces, specifically how the engraving affects the material and its corrosion. Finally, using a stereoscope, visual material of the surfaces will be provided.
