Summary

Food is one of the most important parts in our everyday life. The continuous changes on a European and global level are, sometimes, creating difficulties in the food supply and security, thus creating fluctuations in the food prices and upsetting both consumers and producers. This assignment aims to analyze the food prices for 6 basic food categories, as well as finding and analyzing the parameters that affect them. The data are found and collected from Eurostat for all of the 27 EU countries, for the period between 01-2005 and 06-2024. The processing and analysis of the data will take place in both Excel and Matlab environment.
