This thesis explores the preferences of European citizens regarding electric cars, given the current global environmental crisis. More specifically, the primary objective of this study is to support stakeholders in the electric vehicle market, such as car manufacturers, dealers, and government agencies, in adapting their strategies to meet the potential needs of drivers. Within the framework of the study, both quantitative and qualitative data analyses were conducted, including the examination of consumer profiles, public perceptions, and the prospects of electric vehicles in European markets. The analysis is based on market research carried out in five European countries (Germany, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Hungary) during the period from April 28, 2020, to May 8, 2020. Machine learning methods will be used to derive the results.
