Summary

The aim of this thesis is to assess the underlying trends in the field of renewable energy and present the risks that these investmentw face, analyze the risk management and insurance and how they can contribute to the development of the sector and the long-term viability.Also, is studied the dominant system of guaranteed prices in Greece and Europe and then a comparison is presented between Greece and other European countries with regard to the legislative framework, the pricing policies and the risks facing the development of wind and solar investments.
