The purpose of this thesis is the design and construction of an ADS-B receiver and it’s installation at the Technical university of Crete. The intention was to monitor, in real time, all aircrafts that fly in a maximum range of 400 kilometers. Our goal was to gather all the data selected by the receiver and process them, in order to deduct an ultimate conclusion according to the aerial emissions that are emitted from all the civil aircrafts flying over Chania and Heraklion.
